Four Star Greenhouse is a large-scale production greenhouse that many refer to as a “plant factory”. What makes us different from any other factory is that we produce plants inside our state-of-the-art greenhouses, outdoor growing areas, and warehouses. The sights and sounds that our team experiences here at Four Star are very different from what a worker in factories experiences… in a good way.

Our production team does many different jobs to produce our plants. Some jobs are in the greenhouses while others are outdoors. Some tasks are completed in our warehouses on our production lines. Trimming, planting, sticking unrooted cuttings, moving and hanging are primary jobs our team does to produce the #1 plant brand Proven Winners. We offer training and a supportive environment. All you need to do is to bring a positive attitude and a great work ethic.

This is a year-round full-time position with a competitive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, a 401k with matching funds as well as company paid benefits including term life insurance and both short and long-term disability.  

Starting pay for the entry level candidate is $15.75 per hour with the opportunity to earn piece rate bonuses on many jobs. We also offer the opportunity for a merit increase after 90 days and then annually thereafter.

Schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 7am – 3:30pm with occasional scheduled overtime.

• Pulling soil, water and tissue samples
• Performing in house testing for chlorine, PH, EC and viruses
• Pull samples for outsource testing
• Tracking and recording data regarding positive and negative outcomes
• Recording insect counts within crops
• Troubleshooting any issues that may arise, with the supervisor

Drivers will transport our horticulture products and other contracted linehaul loads to customer destinations across the U.S. primarily in the Midwest, East Coast, Southeast, and Central U.S. regions covering annual mileage in the range of 75K- 95K for solos (150k-175k for teams) per year.  Drivers are front line ambassadors for Four Star with our customers.  Drivers will assist dock teams as appropriate with loading and unloading of horticultural products at Four Star and customer sites. Most linehaul loads will be no touch.

• Mileage Rates:
• Solo .70 CPM for Extended Distance Loads > 200 Miles/day
• Teams .80 CPM for Extended Distance Loads > 200 Miles/day
• Base Hourly Rate ($26.00) for Non-Driving Tasks Including (But Not Limited To):
• Pre & Post trip
• Loading/Unloading
• Fueling
• $26.00/hr for Less than 200 miles/day
• Paid Detention at Hourly Rate (Teams split at 50/50)
• Potential Safety Bonus – $1,800 (paid out quarterly) over each year
• Initial 90-day hourly raise opportunity

• Paid Time Off package is competitive, some PTO issued upon hire, over time and annually. (Equivalent of 18 days per year on accrual schedule plus 6 paid Holidays)

Home Time Minimums:

• (January–June): Weekly home minimum 1 night.
• Touch Deliveries
• (July- December): Out 14 days (+/- 2 days)  1.5 days off for every week out.
