Seasonal Section Grower

If you would like to turn your passion for growing into a career, we will train you to grow plants as a Section Grower inside our 25+ acre greenhouse complex. Section Growers are the caretakers for our crops. Once trained, this position is responsible to decide what to water, when to water and how much to water. Applying fertilizers and making other applications are additional functions you would learn. Growing quality crops in time to ship to our nationwide customer base is the end goal.

We offer a competitive wage and benefits package. We prefer to hire full-time year-round but we may also be open to a seasonal full-time schedule working from December through mid-June.

Job summary is to correctly perform the cultural requirements needed for each crop in such a way to produce quality plants, on a consistent basis, with minimal losses, and as efficiently as possible. Maintain the growing area to meet the sanitary and organizational standards of the company.

This position starts at $17.35 per hour for the entry level candidate. Starting pay may increase based on relevant skills, experience and education. We pay a $2/hr shift premium for weekend work. We pay time and a half for all hours worked past 40 hours in a week. We offer the opportunity for a merit increase after 90 days and annually thereafter.

Greenhouse Growing Rotational Internship

Our rotational growing internship will provide interns with the full scope of how greenhouse growing works at Four Star Greenhouse. Interns will gain knowledge in crop care, production, pest management, plant testing and sampling, greenhouse facilities, and the new technology that we have. Paid positions are available in the fall, winter, and spring/summer with specific dates flexible enough to fit your schedule.
